How It's Made

100% Organic Shea

Want to learn about Northern Ghana shea trees and how they’re turned into a luxurious organic whipped body butter or silky face cream?

Here’s the How It’s Made journey—step by step.

Part 1: Shea Harvested in Northern Ghana

Shea trees grow naturally across Northern Ghana’s savannah parklands—not plantations. Harvest season brings communities together to collect ripe fruit, remove the pulp, and preserve the nutrient-rich nuts inside.

1) Fruit collection

Ripe shea fruits are gathered by hand beneath mature shea trees.

2) Boiling & drying

Nuts are boiled to protect quality, then sun-dried to remove moisture.

3) Cracking kernels

Shells are cracked open, and only healthy kernels move forward.

Part 2: Turning Shea Nuts into Butter

4) Roasting

Careful roasting prepares the kernels for oil release.

5) Grinding

Kernels are milled into a thick, rich paste.

6) Kneading with water

The paste is whipped by hand until oils separate.

7) Heating & skimming

Shea oil rises to the top and cools into raw shea butter.

Part 3: From Shea Butter to Skincare

Shea-infused face cream
Shea butter is blended into lightweight emulsions to create silky, fast-absorbing face creams suitable for daily use.
Organic whipped body butter
Shea is gently melted, blended, and whipped into a rich, cushiony butter that melts into dry skin.
Why texture matters
Controlled heating and cooling prevents graininess and keeps the final product smooth and luxurious.
