How It's Made
100% Organic Shea
Want to learn about Northern Ghana shea trees and how they’re turned into a luxurious organic whipped body butter or silky face cream?
Here’s the How It’s Made journey—step by step.
Part 1: Shea Harvested in Northern Ghana
Shea trees grow naturally across Northern Ghana’s savannah parklands—not plantations. Harvest season brings communities together to collect ripe fruit, remove the pulp, and preserve the nutrient-rich nuts inside.
Ripe shea fruits are gathered by hand beneath mature shea trees.
Nuts are boiled to protect quality, then sun-dried to remove moisture.
Shells are cracked open, and only healthy kernels move forward.
Part 2: Turning Shea Nuts into Butter
Careful roasting prepares the kernels for oil release.
Kernels are milled into a thick, rich paste.
The paste is whipped by hand until oils separate.
Shea oil rises to the top and cools into raw shea butter.
